Ardour 5.12

  



Hello friends, I am new to linux as well to ardour. I like the ardour 5.12 version a lot and I am in love with it. but I was having a problem regarding the plugin GUI size. plugins like geonkick and helm are going out of my view .they are too big to my screen ,I was curious if anybody can help me in getting the size reduce for my viewing.
I Have tried the following.
1.screen size of 1280 x 720 i guess , I have set the display resolution on the same value , I did tried to change the resolution of screen but it doesn't affect .

Update to waf 2.0.19, patch to build with. Unfa rambling indefinitely #05 I'm talking about current issues with Ardour MIDI workflow. What makes it harder than I'd like it to be? I hope this video can.


2. have tried to resize it from right click mouse menu but it doesn't help.
3. reduce size of ardour in preferences menu but it doesn't affect the plugin size.
FOUND an remedy for that if i press alt with GUI corner i can shift the GUI ,But still if there is an option to reduce the size i would like to know.

GNU/Linux

GCC-4 builds are compatible with any Intel platform GNU/Linux releases since circa 2009 (glibc ≥ 2.2.5). Requires X11.
GCC-5 versions need a recent (2016) platform GNU/Linux with (glibc ≥ 3.4.21).
Download the .run installer and launch it.
One way to accomplish this is in a terminal: sh Ardour_<version>.run (substitute version).
The alternative is to use a file-browser, right-click on the downloaded file, select properties, checkbox: allow execution. Then double-click to run the installer [first time linux README].
Linux versions can be installed in parallel including alongside distribution packages. They are installed to /opt/Ardour-version/ (Note: The installer will ask to run an uninstaller, answer 'no' if you wish to keep older versions alongside the new one ).

Mac/OSX, Intel builds are compatible with OSX ≥ 10.6 (incl. macOS Catalina and Big Sur, 64bit version only), PowerPC version for 10.5 (JACK is optional.)
OSX builds can be tested directly from the mounted DMG without installation. Note: The application is not digitally signed. Since Yosemite, right-click (or control + click) and select Open the first time to launch it.
